How to set up Canvas Pilot

Five short steps — about two minutes start to finish.

1

Install Tampermonkey

Add the free Tampermonkey extension to your browser. Pick yours:

2

Enable developer mode (Chromium browsers only)

Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera need developer mode on for Tampermonkey to run scripts. You only do this once.

  • Open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions
  • Toggle Developer mode on
3

Add the Canvas Pilot script

With Tampermonkey installed, click Download Canvas Pilot above — Tampermonkey opens its install screen automatically. Click Install and you're done.

Only see raw code? Use the manual route: Tampermonkey icon → DashboardUtilities tab → Import from file → pick the downloaded canvas-pilot.user.js.

4

Activate with your key

Open any Canvas course page — the Canvas Pilot panel mounts in the bottom-right corner. Open Settings (the gear icon), paste your key into the License field, and it flips to Activated.

5

Open Canvas and start working

Head to your course page. If the panel doesn't appear, refresh the tab once — Tampermonkey only injects on fresh loads. Works on every Canvas school, including custom URLs like learn.yourschool.edu.

How to redeem your key

Your key was emailed to you at checkout. It looks like CH-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

1

Open the Canvas Pilot panel

On any Canvas course page, the panel sits in the bottom-right corner. Click the gear / Settings icon in its header.

2

Paste your key into the License field

In Settings, paste your key into the License field. It shows masked (CH-••••-••••-••••).

3

Save — status flips to Activated

Click out / Save and the status reads Activated. Pro features unlock right away. Need a new key? See plans, or ask on Discord.
